About Us

During the late 1990s and early 2000s — a period marked by intense commercial and cultural exchange between Istanbul and the post-Soviet world — the founder’s long-standing interest in fine art, combined with favourable access to artworks entering Turkey at the time, led to the formation of the present collection.

This unique historical moment allowed the acquisition of important works spanning Russian Imperial, avant-garde, post-war Soviet, and European artistic traditions. The collection was shaped through direct acquisitions over several years and reflects both historical depth and a curatorial approach informed by period, geography, and artistic context.

Today, Clarté Fine Art operates with the following objectives:

-
Long-term stewardship and preservation of the collection
-
International documentation and structured provenance development
-
Collaboration with museums, scholars, restorers, and auction houses
-
Selective sales, acquisitions, and ongoing refinement of the collection
-
Establishment of a permanent London office to coordinate UK and EU art operations

All artworks added to the collection undergo expert-supervised validation, with strict attention paid to provenance documentation, acquisition records, and regulatory compliance related to international transport and cultural property frameworks.
